I wanted to focus on the idea that change can only come about if we believe that it can. In times of such pain and rampant destruction, the concept of hope is one that I see quickly eroding. We can’t give up. We can’t let evil win; every time we protest, every time we create, every time we speak up, we are holding on to that most precious fire that lets us keep going.

The moment we give up on hope we stop fighting for the world that could be, and give in to the one that is.

With that in mind, here are some of my words accompanied by illustrations I made for it. If you know the language of flowers you may understand why particular ones were chosen. We go through the darkness because we believe that there’s a light at the end… so let’s hold on to that.
